Rimmel Match Perfection Review

Hello everyone!

So a while ago I brought the Match Perfection Foundation by Rimmel in Light Porcelain, seen as it had been really warm I thought a lighter foundation would be great for the summer as BB creams have never quite done it for me!

Now I'm not sure if I've said on my blog yet, but I tend to prefer a higher coverage foundation because I just feel I look a lot healthier and it helps boost my confidence, so when I brought this with a light coverage it was a bit of a see how it goes type thing...

Personally I think this is a nice foundation and does what it says on the package but I'm not completely certain on it for what I like, but that's my opinion. However I think the colour range is great because I can't often get a light enough foundation for me as my skin is quite light and a lot of drugstore foundations can tend to make me look a little orangey, and no one wants that!

There's also a light scent to it I feel which is sort of floral, which I'm sure you will know about if you've brought something from rimmel before. Don't get me wrong it's a nice smell but I prefer foundations to not have a smell really as sometimes anything like that can cause a little break out on my skin.

Little swatch, obviously this is on my arm and doesn't match there

What I'm personally not sure on with this foundation though is it is rather liquidy so if you don't like a really liquid foundation and more of a slightly denser one this probably isn't for you. Which yes I did find and recently I have been pairing up with another foundation not only to thicken it but give more of a medium coverage.

With the coverage it definitely is a light coverage and I don't think you can really get any more than that,  for me it's not very buildable as it starts to look cakey and like you don't know how to apply foundation, so coverage wise it's not really for me.

However I am determined to use it, so when I have slightly better skin days I mix this with a higher coverage foundation by No7 and I can just about pull it off.

It also has a sort of dewy-matte finish which I like, but I often use powder just to keep it in place for as long as I can.

For the price I brought it for (£5.99) it has stood up to my thoughts on drugstore foundations, I've only ever been to a brand which matches the foundation to my skin because you never waste money that way as I don't tend to get along with drugstore too well. And with this one I think it's going to take a while for me to finish, sorry drugstore foundations but I think I'm more of a higher end foundation fan!

Thanks for reading!

Kisses! Rimmel Apocalips Love!

Hi Beauties!

Last winter I really got into buying dark lipsticks because who doesn't in the colder months? But I also came across Apocalips Lip Lacquer's which I blimin fell in love with because the colour is so strong, long lasting and VERY pigmented!

Now your probably wondering what the hell that's got to do with right here, right now. Well while I was wondering around some shops on my own I found some more on offer in superdrug and because we had warm weather recently (although not so much now, damn you British weather!) I thought I would pick up a couple of more summery shades and I have rekindled my love for them!

There's more than 1 hot cloth cleanser!?!

Hello everyone!

As most you probably already know I recently brought and tried the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser and fell in love with it because I'd never really used a cleanser properly before and hasn't realised how well my make-up comes off with one! Believe me I didn't realise how much make-up I wore before!?!

But while I was out shopping and browsing the other day I thought I would have a look to see what other cleansers were out there as I didn't really want to spend another £14.75 on a cleanser as I seem to use that 100ml rather quick, I think i'm half way through already! Ooops! As much as I love Liz Earle I feel if something slightly cheaper does the same job I'd rather go with that, sorry Liz Earle!

Get to know me!

Hello fellow bloggers and friends!

Recently I've had quite a busy week which means the last 3 posts have been scheduled and I haven't really touched my blog all week!
Now because I haven't been on my blog I really haven't felt involved in the blogger experience which means I haven't really read or commented on other blogs, no wonder I haven't seen quite as many people reading mine if I'm not paying them back with the same thing!

So I want to get back into the flow again and get involved with blogging, and on that note I want you to find out more about me!
This week I'll still post my normal 3 posts but I want to a special post on SATURDAY!

As you can probably guess I want this post to be a Q&A so you can find out more about me, but I can't do this Q&A without YOUR help!

So if you want to ask some questions, I'll be checking up until 8pm GMT Friday night so I can get the post up on Saturday for you all to read!

If you want to ask a question then go ahead and leave a comment below or ask me on Twitter with the hashtag #asklittlebitofsassy so I know your asking on the purpose of my post!

In the mean time keep reading and thanks for reading this post!

Some little Beauty Buys!

Hiya Beauty Gals!

I've had a little splash out this past few weeks and I thought I'd show you what I got! I must say none of this was intentional I just had a few ideas in my head that I needed some of them and well to be honest I could have waited a little longer I suppose...

Some of these I've had a while or before so I will do reviews on them soon, but others I've never tried and hope to maybe review them in the future, because who doesn't like a little review right?

A little day out

Happy Hello!

As you know last week I received my A Level results which meant I decided to take the weekend off work just incase I wanted to do something to celebrate, as you may gather from the photo's below that's not what I did, although I did go out that Thursday night so it's not so bad. But I did enjoy a nice weekend off not at work and a little trip out on Sunday.

And seen as I took a trip out I thought I'd take a few photo's because it was a rather nice day, even if it started with rain, and tell you a little about the day!

And the result is?

I know this post is a little later than the normal 10am GMT post, however I've had a rather busy few days and where I normally schedule Monday's post I haven't this time! Oops!

So anyway, onto the interesting bit. If your from the UK you probably know that last Thursday was A Level Results day and if you've been reading my blog you'll know I'm heading to uni in September so this was an important day for me, as I'm sure it was for some of you and many others!

I don't normally like to brag or post things like this all over the internet, but on this occasion I am, so I'll go no further to say if you don't want to know then stop here, if you do then keep reading!

They're Real Review!

Hiya everyone!

I think this is the most typical review that everyone probably knows the answer to by now but I've been wanting to do it for ages and now I've really tried the eyeliner as well as the mascara I thought I'd review them both as a pair!

A Take on Paisley

Hi everyone!

I'm back with another manicure post because I know quite a few of you enjoyed the last manicure post. Also I'll do a sort of mini review on each of the polishes I used so you can see if you might like them too! On that note, lets get started!

Garnier Ultimate Blends The Colour Illuminator Review

Hello lovelies! I have another review for you all!

As some of you may know here in the UK this shampoo and conditioner has been all over the TV at the moment with adverts, so when I saw it and realised I needed a new shampoo and conditioner as I recently coloured my hair I thought why not try give it a go!

What I've been lovin! July

I'm a little behind on the monthly favourites thing, but nevermind it's here now! To be honest I didn't know whether I was going to do a favourites as I didn't think I liked too much in July, but it turns out I found a few things, so here we go!

BTCC Snetterton Racing!

If you read my last post then I suppose you'll be expecting this one! Over the weekend I went to BTCC in Snetterton, UK, while I was there I thought I bring my hobby and passion of photography to good use. I went last year and took a crazy amount of photo's, this time I thought I hadn't taken so many but I still took 387 photo's in total, believe me when I say there was a lot of picking and choosing to decide which photo's to show you!

As I know a lot of you who may read my blog are more into Fashion and Beauty, as am I of course, so I won't go rambling on about anything unless you really want me to or ask about my day in the comments!

So here we go, here's some of the photo's I took! I changed some to black and white as well to vary it a little for you all. Also apologies for the watermarks on the photo's but I took them and I don't really want and random person taking credit for them and saying it's theirs.

Floral/Racing Nails and my Savior!

As some of you may or may not know I LOVE painting my nails and I pretty much change them weekly to something different because I easily get bored and have so many nail polishes I feel changing my nails weekly means I might actually use 1 up!

So this time round I did a little bit of nail art using simple black and white dots! You would never believe that initially I was going to make a checkered flag on one of my nails because I've been to the BTCC over the weekend (which I will so a photographic blog post on on wednesday) so thought I would get in the spirit of things, but in the end I went with floral nails...I still stuck with the black and white though!

Liz Earle Essentials Try-Me Kit

Hey, It's a little sort of review type thing!

So as a lot of you beauty bloggers probably know Liz Earle is raved about, especially the Hot Cloth cleanse and polish so when I came across it in one of my favourite Youtuber's video's I thought I'd have a look at the website, completely unexpecting to actually buy something as it can be a bit pricey for something so simple!

But in the end I broke, I went and brought something didn't I. And as you can see by the post title I didn't just get the cleanse and polish. I thought while I'm here and seen as the price wasn't too bad I'd try the Try-me kit to see what it's like before splashing out the cash to get the bigger bottles.
